Faculty at Karlas Dance Collective are professional, passionate and dedicated to delivering high quality dance education.Our team form close relationships with their students and strive to transfer the skills and capabilities they require to have their dreams turn into reality.

Miss Karla Lovell, Principal
Miss Karla began dancing at four years of age with a local dance studio where she found her passion and love of dance. Karla opened her studio in 2014 and commenced her study to gain dance teaching qualifications. She is now qualified with the Australasian Dance Association to teach Jazz, Tap and Acrobatics. She is also a qualified teacher with the Acro Dance Teachers Association, Progressing Ballet Technique, International Dance Technique and QLD Ballet Petit Pointers programs. Whilst living in Brisbane for a short period, Karla performed in the opening ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, studied under many notable teachers and taught at surrounding studios.
Karla is passionate about fostering the love of dance in her students as well as empowering her students to take responsibility for their health, wellbeing, grooming and training.

Miss Donna Lee
Miss Donna began dancing at the age of 7 and studied under many wonderful teachers, Kathleen Gorham, Ramsey Academy of Dance and Avril Binzer. She completed Advanced RAD while performing with the Gold Coast Youth Ballet. Miss Donna was accepted into the Australian Ballet School where she completed her three year Diploma in Classical Ballet and in her third year, was part of the The Dancers Company Tour. After graduating, she performed in the Beldare' Ballet Theatre where she performed the lead in the Nutcracker Suite. Miss Donna is a qualified and registered teacher with the Australian Institute of Classical Dance, Progressing Ballet Technique and QLD Ballet Petit Pointers Program.

Miss Layla Graham
Miss Layla is one of our dedicated student teachers at Karlas Dance Collective. Currently working towards her dance teacher qualifications, she loves to teach our Rising Star Dancers! Layla's worth ethic, organisation and passion for dance contribute to her outstanding teaching ability. Constantly achieving highest marks in her exams, Layla's perfectionism and technical training is passed down to her students.

Miss Scarlett Dowling
Miss Scarlett began dancing with Karlas Dance Collective when it first opened in 2014. She has been at the studio most days since! Scarlett is a hard worker who always achieves Honours Plus and Special Medallions for very high marks in her exams. Scarlett passes on her beautiful stage presence and passion for performing to her students. As a budding choreographer, she loves to teach our Junior Hip Hop, Contemporary and Acrobatics!
